A dare to go underwater & that’s where this adventure began. Our search to dive into the ocean ended up at the beautiful coastal region on Maharashtra, India – “Kokan”. To make this adventure more memorable I went on to get waterproof case for my Canon SX210IS. On the way to our two day adventure, I wrote a small poem “For a Date” with Mermaid:
For I don’t seek the land, this road is mine;
To drink the ocean, its now on my mind;
With thy heart the time must wait;
With the mermaid its a date.
(I never thought I am gonna do it with this camera)
A few underwater snaps of Arabian Sea with my Canon #SX210IS
Tarkarli a small village with a long and narrow stretch of beach with pristine waters is a perfect destination for calm water & blissful scuba diving. Having first day spare we made up to enjoy various water sports like Banana ride, Bumper ride, Kayaking, etc. Next Day was reserved to drink the Ocean, after all it was a date.
On a fairly clear day, one can see the bed unto a depth of 20 ft. To jumpin with out knowing any swimming was a challenge but we had a DiveMaster who made it so comfortable that exploring the ocean bed of Arabian Sea & Marine Life was a awesome experience. Swimming beneath with the fishes was like visit to another world, Only what i missed was my date – Mermaids 🙂 however we ended up meeting a couple of Dolphins.
Tarkarli is one of the virgin territory of Maharashtra, India. It was surprising to find out that, we were 2nd to do the Underwater Photography at this place. This adventure scuba diving has inspired me and my friends to go a next level of Scuba Diving – Only the time awaits now.

Feedback on Devbag Tarkarli – Be aware of local agents on watersports front. They will charge you double the actual charges for sight seeing & watersport games..
For sight seeing actual cost is max to max Rs.2000/-, wherein they charged us Rs.3500/- & shown us only 3 points including dolphins. In there sight pamphlet they show us to visit 8-10 points.
